Displaying Your Photos in Your Home
Songs of Life has been in the photography industry for over 30 years. We have seen trends come and go and come again. Collages, Acrylic Blocks, Framed Prints and the classic Canvases are all ways to display images that have been around for a while.
Newer ways include Leather Wall Art, Leather covered albums with fine art paper and displays that allow you to interchange your photos every day if you desire.
The important thing to remember, though, is that there is something out there for everyone and that choosing to display your family's images in your home is a priority.
We believe that letting your images live on the walls of your home and in book format is extremely valuable. Did you know that studies show that children who have their images on display in the home feel more valued and loved? They are more confident and feel as if they have a place in the family. They feel more like they belong.
So, we place high value on this.
Our Process
We have discovered a great process that helps clients receive what they want at a price within their budget. The bottom line-print your images. Whether that is with us, or from another lab. We are just happy you are doing it!
Depending on which session you choose, you will either be printing with us or printing on your own. Either way, we have a few tips to help you decide the best options for you and your loved ones.
Where do you want your photos displayed?
This is one of the first questions we ask with our Custom Sessions, and one that you can ask yourself if you choose our All Inclusive Session. Perhaps you spend a lot of time in the family room and want to see a large Wall Art piece displayed over your fireplace. That way, you can look up and see your loved ones every time you walk into the room!
Or perhaps you are short on wall space and love books. Choose an album that you can enjoy when you snuggle on the couch and relive the moments the images were taken.
Either way, you will draw closer to your loved ones as you re live the memories of the photo session we had together.
Our Art
If you choose our Art, we offer several ways to help you decorate your home with your family's images. Most of our art is hand crafted in Italy to give you the best quality you can imagine. Our Canvas Art is a one of a kind, unique product that offers a special frame that you cannot find anywhere else. Or, we offer the same high quality art without the frame.
Our Storybooks (Albums) are also created by hand with precision to give you a lasting heirloom that can be handed down to many generations.
Or choose one of our Premium Portrait Boxes that give you another table option for displaying your photos. Beautiful, walnut boxes or photo cover ones handcrafted here in the US are a great way to store your heirlooms and photos alike!
Other Options
Just google photography products and you will find a slew of other options out there. Some are good, some not so good. Just be wary when choosing if you want your art to be archival and last a while. Most of the time, you get what you pay for. Below you will find other options that we can provide, or you can DIY.
- Framed on Wall – Dress your photos up with stylish frames to match your home décor.
- Framed on Shelves, Desks, Tables – If you are renting or don’t want to put holes in your walls from prints or canvases, you can also frame your prints and place them on shelves, desks, or tables around your home. (You can also do this in addition to the wall hangings if you’d like.
Other options include-Small Photo Books, Mini Accordions, and Regular Canvases from consumer online labs. Some even print on glass!
Or, create your own frames using natural materials and display your photos that way!
The Bottom Line
Print your images and do not let them live solely on your computer or phone. We will provide you with the images or the images and art. You choose and you decide which is your preferred way of making it happen. We encourage you to let your photos live on the walls of your home and in book format because you will draw closer together with your loved ones, develop a deeper connection, and help your children feel more confident with a stronger sense of belonging.
Who wouldn't want that?
