The Great Pause.
That is the phrase I have heard often during this time we are experiencing. For many, life is on "pause" and looks a lot different than it was. Sports, music, and extra curricular activities are cancelled. The once racing around from one thing to the next has stopped for many. Kids are learning at home and their parents are the teachers. Some are working even harder and longer than they were before while some are not working at all.
We are not in the same boat.
I have read posts that say we "are all in the same boat". I would beg to differ. We are NOT all in the same BOAT, but we all are in the same STORM. One family is concerned about how they are going to pay for groceries while another is getting unemployment and the extra $600 that the government sent. One family is still getting paid while working at home and trying to figure out how to e learn with their kids. Life is just very different than it was.
A time of reflection.
For me, this has been quite the time of reflection as EVERYTHING as I know has come to a great pause: income, work, and all the activities I participated in. It has caused me to take a good long look at so many things, which is a good, but difficult thing.
Going back in time.
The one thing I have really enjoyed is going back to when I first started taking images with a digital camera. I used a film camera before that time and have many, many prints to show for it. Searching through the many hard drives I have produced many images taken for many people. Some of whom I still see today! A few of those images have been posted on our facebook and instagram pages, so feel free to visit there to see some cute babies and awesome families. For now, though, enjoy a few of my favorites from 2013.
