Meeting the Harris family for the first time last year was a wonderful thing for me! Having a generational session and being with a dad and mom who care deeply for their family was the highlight of the session.
The location chosen was Philips Park in Aurora near the zoo. The weather was not very cooperative, but you never would have known it by how elegant everyone looks! Since we were outside, we were able to accommodate everyone and many different groupings of the family.
Model Call-Black Tie and Kids Couture
Some of the Harris family members so graciously accepted my model call request in January and I was so thankful they did! Model calls are different than regular sessions in many ways. When a photographer asks for "models" he or she is usually practicing new techniques or skills which requires more patience. Often model calls are used for bringing in new imagery for a website, too.
For me, it was both! New posing and editing techniques were used as was using this imagery for a website update! We created new portrait sessions along with a little bit of a re brand, so their help was much appreciated. Our new sessions are called Black Tie and Kids Couture and were created with our mission in mind-to help families, children, and teens see, feel and know just how special and beautiful they are.

I did not have to offer much direction as they all were quite natural in front of the camera!
